Authors: Kamizono Y, Ikeda D Abstract A 77-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with severe ongoing chest pain. Electrocardiography showed ST-segment elevation in the inferior leads and tall R waves in leads V1-2. Posterior-inferior myocardial infarction was diagnosed. Emergent coronary angiography (CAG) revealed the wrap-around left anterior descending artery (LAD) with total occlusion distal to the cardiac apex. She underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Despite difficulty navigating the long and tortuous LAD, we successfully performed reperfusion of the wrap-around LAD. CAG post-PCI showed th...

A cross-sectional study was conducted in school-aged athletes (age, 6-15 years; n = 896) using a self-reported questionnaire. Multiple logistic regression models were used to assess the f...

Conclusions: Based on available evidence, FKQJ combined with antibiotics therapy have certain outcomes on increasing the markedly effective rate, decreasing the recurrent rate compared with antibiotics alone group. This therapy appears to improve lower abdominal pain and curtail the relief time. Due to the low quality and the risk of bias, any high-quality evidence or longer follow-up period should be advisable and necessary in the future. PMID: 32774421 [PubMed]

Conclusions: (1) In the study, we concluded that balneophysiotherapy in osteoarthritis patients resulted in a decrease in the mean hemoglobin level. (2) The decrease in the mean hemoglobin level in osteoarthritis patients treated at the spa resort may indicate an association with free radical reactions. This trial was registered with NCT03405350.
