A New Phenolic Glycoside from the Seeds of Moringa oleifera

A new phenolic glycoside derivative, moringapyranosyl (1), along with five known phenolic glycoside derivatives (2 –6), was isolated from the seeds of Moringa oleifera. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic analyses and by comparison of their spectral data with those reported in the literature. The inhibitory activities of all compounds against α-glucosidase were evaluated. Compounds1 –6 showed significant inhibitory activities against α-glucosidase.
