Anakinra, an interleukin-1 receptor antagonist, increases morphine analgesic effect and decreases morphine tolerance development by modulating oxidative stress and endoplasmic reticulum stress in rats.

CONCLUSIONS: Anakinra have anti-nociceptive properties and it increases analgesic effect of morphine, in addition prevents tolerance development. These effects probably may occur by modulating oxidative stress and ER-stress pathways. PMID: 32659878 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
