Primary prevention for acute kidney injury in ambulatory patients.

Primary prevention for acute kidney injury in ambulatory patients. Postgrad Med. 2020 Jul 11;: Authors: Musso CG, Rosell C, Gonzalez-Torres H, Ordonez JD, Aroca-Martinez G Abstract Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a heterogeneous group of conditions characterized by a sudden decrease in the glomerular filtration rate. Even though many strategies have been proposed to achieve an early AKI diagnosis and its effective treatment, both objectives remain unachieved. Consequently, AKI prevention continues to be the best "therapeutic" strategy for this condition. Therefore, this article suggests a series of recommendations for achieving AKI primary prevention in ambulatory patients. PMID: 32657222 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
