Cost analysis and utilization of antihypertensive drug therapy in Saudi Arabia
ConclusionOur study suggested that the prescription pattern of drugs used for the treatment of hypertension adhered with the JNC 8 guidelines. Monotherapy was reliably more recommended in the initial stages of hypertension. Higher percentage of patients (78.32%) was found to be on monotherapy. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has overwhelmed for fixation of prices of drugs.
