Sudden demand for paracetamol has been taken to be a possible clue to people concealing Covid-19 at home. People who have, or think they have, a mild case of Covid are staying at home and taking it. And those who don ’t want to be thought to have Covid are taking it too, like travellers who don’t want to be quarantined.
