GSE154234 Analysis of mRNA expression between irradiated and non-irradiated keloid-derived primary cells.

This study aims to compare mRNA expression between irradiated and non-irradiated keloid-derived primary cells by RNA-Seq. In this study, keloid-derived primary cells that were isolated from patients, and then divided into three groups and each group had four repeats. The first group of cells was treated without radiation, the second group of cells were received 4 Gy delivered in 2-Gy fractions once per day over 2 days and the third group of cells were received 8 Gy delivered in 2-Gy fractions once per day over 4 days. The last two groups of cells were irradiated at a fixed rate of 1.15 Gy/min using an X-ray linear accelerator (Rad Source Technologies Inc., Suwanee, GA, USA). 24 hours post irradiation of the third group of cells, all keloid-derived primary cells were collected and subjected to mRNA expression analysis.
