Artificial Biology: Artificial Biology: Molecular Design and Cell Mimicry (Small 27/2020)

Artificial biology is a cross ‐disciplinary field that aims to mimic/reconstruct the function of natural macromolecules, organelles, cells, and small life forms, using synthetic tools. The articles in this Special Issue provide a multi‐angled view on artificial biology across the length‐scales from synthetic mimics of enzy mes and antibodies to micromotors, organelles, cells, and artificial tissues. The Special Issue is introduced in article numberhttps://doi.org/10.1002/smll.2020034422003442 by guest editors Alexander N. Zelikin and Brigitte St ädler.
