Late Aortic Valve Rupture After Blunt Chest Trauma
A 56-year-old woman hit by a truck while riding a bicycle was admitted to the emergency room for severe head, chest, and abdominal trauma. Urgent computed tomography scan showed a small subdural haematoma to the right parietal lobe, hepatic laceration that extends to the posterior –superior region of segment VII, multiple bone fractures, and small intramural haematoma of aortic arch.
