Screening for functional gastrointestinal disorders in children with epilepsy.
CONCLUSIONS: We found that children with epilepsy have a higher prevalence of FGIDs when compared with age- and sex-matched healthy controls. Our results suggest that children with epilepsy, especially complaining of gastrointestinal symptoms, should be screened for FGIDs.
