A wandering SPLEEN

A 34-year-old woman was referred to us for splenomegaly. She reported several episodes of precedent acute abdominal pain in the left flank. A computed tomography (CT) was performed, showing an enlarged “wandering spleen” located in the left flank (Fig. 1A), as well as a splenic vein stenosis complicated by segmental portal hypertension (Fig. 1B). There was no abnormality in the enhancement of the spleen during the CT. The gastroscopy performed in hepato-gastroenterology did not reveal any endo scopic sign of portal hypertension.
