Physical functional limitations and psychological distress in people with and without colorectal cancer: findings from a large Australian study

ConclusionsPhysical disability is elevated in CRC survivors. Psychological distress is elevated 4- to 5-fold with disability, regardless of CRC diagnosis, with lesser increases around diagnosis and treatment.Implications for cancer survivorsCRC survivors with less advanced disease and who have not been recently diagnosed or treated have physical disability and psychological distress comparable to the general population. Survivors with disability are at particularly high risk of psychological distress.
