Characterization of resistance to a recombinant hexameric Fas-ligand (APO010) in human cancer cell lines
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a synonym for malignant neoplasm of plasma cells in the bone marrow and is the second most common hematological malignancy. The incidence of MM is about 6 to 8 out of 100.000 in Western Countries and in Denmark approximately 300 new patient cases are diagnosed annually. The MM patients are typically aged above 65-70 years.
