Incidence and risk factors for fluorescence abnormalities on near-infrared imaging using indocyanine green in stapled functional end-to-end anastomosis in laparoscopic colectomy

ConclusionsThe frequency of fluorescence abnormalities on NIR was 2.8% in cases of colon resection with reconstruction by using stapled FEEA. There was a probability of abnormal fluorescence on NIR in cases where the transverse colon was involved in the anastomosis. This means that NIR may have potential benefit in such cases.Trial registrationUMIN000039977
