New Anti-Depressant Utilization Pre and Post Bereavement: A Population Based Study of Partners and Adult Children (GP736)

While it is well known that bereavement is associated with increases in morbidity and mortality, the mechanisms of this increase are not well established. Depression may play a role in morbidity and mortality, so establishing the timing of new onset depression in the bereaved may help to target interventions to decrease the odds of developing depression.
