Over time, hospice organizations and clinicians (impacted by federal policies) have evolved in their willingness and ability to care for people with end-of-life preferences to remain full code or receive intensive interventions such as blood transfusions, chemotherapy, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Yet remarkably little is known about how hospice clinicians engage with these requests.
