Predictors of Opioid-Nonresponsiveness in Post-Acute Care are Shared with Centralized Pain: A Pilot Feasibility Study (GP782)

Opioids are frequently used among older adults admitted to post-acute care (PAC), but some respond inadequately and adverse effects are common. Prior studies suggest those who receive opioids but continue to report pain may have central nervous system (CNS) sensitization. It is unclear how best to classify pain as opioid-nonresponsive and whether clinical correlates are shared with CNS sensitization.
