Effectiveness of rapid multiplex polymerase chain reaction for early diagnosis and treatment of pertussis.

CONCLUSION: Testing patients with respiratory symptoms using mPCR can improve early diagnosis of pertussis, ensure proper treatment, and may help with outbreak control.
