Better studies needed on LASER use in urinary incontinence.

Better studies needed on LASER use in urinary incontinence. BJOG. 2020 Jun 07;: Authors: Vieira-Baptista P Abstract LASERs are frequently marketed as a complication-free treatment for vaginal atrophy (genital syndrome of menopause [GSM]) and urinary incontinence (UI). At the same time, the disadvantages and risks of the standard options are overemphasized (i.e. topical oestrogens and risk of breast cancer; mid-urethral slings and risk of erosion, etc.). Less often, LASER is offered as an option for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and vaginal looseness/laxity - the latter being a concept that was never objectively defined.
