Acute abdomen caused by a large pedunculated pediculated focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver

A 26-year-old woman was evaluated in the emergency department because of with acute abdominal pain and a palpable mass in the epigastrium. Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed an epigastric mass, measuring 13  × 7 cm, in continuity with the liver (Fig. 1).
