Emergency medicine program director perception and processes for consultant abuse of residents -results of a national survey

Although investigators have described patient abuse of residents, there is a paucity of research examining the issue of consultant abuse towards physicians-in-training [1-6]. We evaluated emergency medicine residency program director's (PD) perception of consultant abuse targeted towards residents and the processes in place to confront alleged perpetrators.
