Trajectories of Insomnia Symptoms and Associations with Mood and Anxiety from Early Pregnancy to the Postpartum.
CONCLUSIONS: A small group of pregnant women experienced consistently high and elevated insomnia symptoms throughout pregnancy and another larger group endorsed consistently elevated but subthreshold symptoms. Future studies should explore long-term consequences of experiencing high insomnia symptomatology during pregnancy and early postpartum, as well as safe and efficacious interventions.
