FDG-PET/CT in the Quantification of Photon Radiation Therapy-Induced Vasculitis

Conclusions: FDG-PET/CT is an effective method for the detection of photon radiation-induced vasculitis in HNC patients. Further investigation in randomized trials is warranted to evaluate the clinical implications of this pathology and the potential role for alternative and additional treatment strategies in minimizing tissue toxicity.
