A Tale of Two DUSP27s - Proposed Resolution for the Naming of Distinct Dual-Specificity Phosphatases.

Abstract
There are currently two dual specificity phosphatases that are referred to in the literature as DUSP27, which has the potential to cause significant confusion as work on both genes is still very preliminary. It is the aim of this Viewpoint to clarify the difference between these two genes and bring attention to this nomenclature redundancy.
