HHS Awards $20.3 Million to Expand the Addiction Workforce in Underserved Communities

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded $20.3 million to 44 recipients to support the training of addiction specialists at facilities in high need communities. HRSA's Addiction Medicine Fellowship (AMF) program aims to address the opioid crisis and increase the number of the number of fellows accredited addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry fellowship programs.
