364 cold snare polypectomy of colorectal lesions less than 10 mm is safe in patients on anticoagulation therapy: a large scale analysis using the japan endoscopy database.
It is well known that cold snare polypectomy (CSP) is a safe procedure to remove colon polyps because of its lower prevalence of intra-procedural perforation or delayed bleeding. However, delayed bleeding after CSP can occur and is rare. Furthermore, CSP removes polyps without electric current, therefore, there is a slight possibility that curative resection may not be completely achieved in patients with early colorectal neoplasia. To further study this rare adverse event of CSP a larger number of polypectomies are needed.
