Early subcutaneous drainage of skin and soft tissue infections in patients with febrile neutropenia: A new treatment option.

CONCLUSION: Early subcutaneous drainage by percutaneous approach of an area of skin infection in a patient with febrile neutropenia may be considered as an interesting option. This technique allows without loss of chance for the patient to increase survival and decrease the number of aggressive surgical debridement and their high morbidity.
