Urinary balantidiasis in a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus and lupus nephritis: a case report

ConclusionThe route of infection in our patient was unclear but is likely to have been orofecal. Neither her infection nor its treatment caused a deterioration in her renal function.

In this study, we synthesize 2-amino-4-alkyl/aryl-6-(hydroxymethyl)-8-oxopyrano[3,2-b] pyran-3-carbonitriles derivatives using a multicomponent reaction featuring aromatic or aliphatic aldehydes, kojic acid, and malononitrile catalyzed by nano fluoroapatite doped with Si and Mg (Si –Mg–FA). This study evaluates the microbiological hygiene quality of thermal muds, providing a comprehensive assessment of the whole mud cultivation chain. Maturing mud, peloid and used mud samples were collected twice in a year from 30 SPAs of the Euganean Thermal District, NE Italy. Samples were processed with an ad hoc laboratory method.
