Commentary: Pick's Disease picks the chicken. Or the egg?

It's the chicken. It's always been the chicken. Or the egg? The egg comes first. In constrictive pericarditis (CP), a condition in which chronic fibrous thickening of the pericardium impairs diastolic filling of the heart, tricuspid valve (TV) disease is often present and harbinger of underlying right heart dysfunction. The symptoms may progress to ascites and hepatomegaly and the eponym “Pick's disease” was attributed in 1896.1 The trouble with Pick's disease is that it remains relatively uncommon and it's true prevalence unknown.
