Nursing Students ’ Spiritual Orientations and Their Attitudes Toward the Principles of Dying with Dignity: A Sample from Turkey

AbstractNurses ’ attitudes toward spiritual care and death are influenced by their personal belief systems and world-views. The aim of this study is to reveal the attitudes of nursing students toward spiritual orientation and principles of dying with dignity. The study was conducted with the participation of 478 nursing students. As a result of the study, it was found that the average score of the students’ spiritual orientation scale was high and the average score of the assessment scale of attitudes toward the principles of dying with dignity was found to be moderate.
