Alcohol Consumption and Associated Cancers. Radiol Technol. 2020 May;91(5):447-463 Authors: Clark KR Abstract An association between alcohol consumption, including low and moderate amounts, and an increased risk of cancer development is not widely known. However, literature suggests that consuming alcohol is linked to cancers of the mouth, pharynx, larynx, esophagus, liver, colon and rectum, and female breast. In general, higher alcohol consumption is associated with increased cancer risk. To provide proper education and better quality care to the patients they serve, health care providers must understand current literature regarding alcohol-related cancers.
