Do we have an effective treatment for threatened miscarriage?

Do we have an effective treatment for threatened miscarriage? BJOG. 2020 May 07;: Authors: Archer JS, Haas DM Abstract Early pregnancy losses are extremely common with almost 50% of women experiencing a loss in their lifetime.(Farren J, et al. Am J Obstet Gynecol. 2020;222:367e1- e22) Not only do women suffer the short term physical trauma of a miscarriage but multiple studies have revealed a long term psychological impact.(Haghparast E, et al. Pak J Med Sci. 2016;32:1097-101) In a recent study, 24% and 11% of women met criteria for moderate-severe anxiety and moderate-severe depression, respectively one month after a pregnancy loss.(Farren J, et al. Am J Obstet Gynecol. 2020;222:367 e1- e22) Follow up evaluations 9 months later showed that prevalence was still high with 17% of women with anxiety and 6% with depression.
