Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide in Blind, Painful Eyes
Conclusions:
This study demonstrates that CGRP is overexpressed in the choroid of enucleated blind, painful eyes. Modulation of this protein may represent a meaningful, nonsurgical therapeutic strategy to addressing the blind, painful eye.
