Association of a Preoperative Leisure-Time Physical Activity With Short- and Long-term Outcomes of Patients Undergoing Curative Resection for Stage I to III Colorectal Cancer: A Propensity Score Matching Analysis

This study aimed to elucidate whether preoperative physical activity plays a role in reducing short-term postoperative complications and improving long-term survival of patients with colorectal cancer. DESIGN: This was a retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data. SETTINGS: This study was conducted at a department of colorectal surgery in a tertiary teaching hospital between January 1995 and December 2016.
