Response Regarding: “Bedside Anatomy”: A Tool to Contextualize Learning and Introduce Surgical Careers

We appreciate the comments from medical students Puneh Shahrjerdi and Sohail Singh regarding our article and are encouraged to learn that our surgical education model may be useful in other countries. We do believe that the impact of our program was two-fold. First, the case-based content allowed students to see the potential importance of what they were learning. But perhaps more importantly, the instruction by surgical trainees allowed medical students an opportunity to interact with surgeons early during their time in medical school.
