A diary from the COVID frontline

What’s it like working on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis? Stuart Tuckwood is UNISON’s national officer for nursing. Before working for the union, he was a rapid response nurse. As the COVID-19 pandemic developed, Stuart – and many others – went back to the wards to help out. In between shifts and supporting our members, Stuart is making weekly videos about life working on the wards. We’ll be sharing them on social media, where you can ask him a question or share your own experience. To join in, reply to our tweet here – and please share. You can follow Stuart on Twitter @StuartTuckwood. Stuart and other UNISON nurses will be running our national Twitter account on Tuesday 12 May, International Nurses Day, which is part of UNISON’s #nursingthenation campaign to celebrate the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. The article A diary from the COVID frontline first appeared on the UNISON National site.
