The Rainbow in the Waiting Room

The lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) community has long been discriminated against and continues to face challenges that affect their health and quality of life. Between 2008 and 2016, the percentage of adults in the United States who identified as LGB grew from 2.7% to 5.4%, according to the General Social Survey.1 The percentage of Latinas, Asians, and women identifying as LGBT is rapidly growing.1
