Inclusion of CQC data in ONS deaths reporting shows impact of COVID-19 on social care

Information provided to CQC by care homes via death notifications now forms part of ONS ' s weekly reporting, ensuring more complete& timely picture of impact COVID-19 is having on social care. In addition to COVID-19 deaths, there has been significant rise in non-COVID-19 deaths.
