Medication errors in outpatient pharmacies: comparison of an electronic and a paper ‐based prescription system

ConclusionThis study highlights the effect of the prescription system used by hospitals. Fewer medication errors were found in the electronic system. Healthcare policymakers, professionals and administrators are encouraged to invest in electronic systems to minimize medication errors.
