Conclusions: Medical therapy for BPH patients has resulted in delayed surgical interventions. The complication rates have not increased. Thus, the increased use of medical therapy in BPH patients is justified though TURP may still be considered the gold standard.

Conclusion: The first dose of tamsulosin improves UFM and predicts the mid-term change in UFM as well as IPSS and QoL indices in the treatment of BPH-related LUTS.

ConclusionsscfDNA concentration and fragment size differed significantly in the three groups of PCa, BPH and healthy controls. Both parameters are potential clinical biomarkers for PCa and can be used in both early diagnosis and follow-up. Using automated systems for high-throughput cfDNA quantification could improve the reproducibility of the method and facilitate the implementation of liquid biopsies in the clinical setting.

CONCLUSIONS: In our experience patients with prostate cancer and a previous surgery for BPH should be managed as naïve patients. RARP is a safe and feasible procedure with no major risks of complications, provided that it is performed by a skilled robotic surgeon. PMID: 31287254 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

ConclusionDK model may add value in PCa detection and diagnosis, but none can differentiate low-from high-grade PCas (including GS=3+4 from GS=4+3).

Teleflex Inc. received favorable results for a multi-center study reaffirming the safety and effectiveness of its UroLift System. The Wayne, PA-based company said the results were published in the Journal of Endourology. The multi-center, retrospective study examined the results of 1,413 consecutive patients who received the UroLift System for treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The trial took place over the course of two years across 14 sites in North America and Australia. Data published from the study show that patients from multiple subgroups treated with the UroLift Sys...

CONCLUSION: Results implicate a potential cross- talk between the signaling pathways derived by IL6 cytokine and dopamine receptors in PCa. Thus it seems promising to re- assemble the consequent signaling pathways by adequate agonists and antagonists to help increase therapeutic efficacy.
