Novel approach for pathogenesis of osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats as a model of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
CONCLUSIONS: Visceral obesity played a crucial role in the development of osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats through effects that might involve both osteoblasts and osteoclasts.
