Free COVID tests were available in Tenn. this weekend. Here ’s how many took advantage

Thirty-three free drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites were open statewide this weekend. As WPLN Nashville Public Radio reports, it was the first weekend of a push to implement widespread testing in Tennessee, with tests available even to those without coronavirus symptoms. According to WPLN, 11,230 people got tested this weekend. To date, 7,070 people have tested positive for COVID -19 in Tennessee, according to the state Department of Health. Almost 150 people have died as a result.
