Dance with your grandma (not during COVID-19 of course)

(Frontiers) According to new research, Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) may promote exercise, improve quality of life, and bond grandparents and grandchildren. In a study at Kibbutzim College and University of Haifa, sixteen dance movement therapists met with their grandmothers for free-form dance sessions, which were found to improve grandmothers' mood, shift granddaughters' view on aging and strengthen familial bonds. The findings point to DMT's potential as a low-cost intervention for common issues that face aging populations.
