Hospital Mergers and Conscience-Based Objections — Growing Threats to Access and Quality of Care

I am delighted that the New England Journal of Medicine has published my Perspective article with Ian D. Wolfe in tomorrow's issue. In "Hospital Mergers and Conscience-Based Objections — Growing Threats to Access and Quality of Care" we demonstrate that growing consolidation combined with growing protection of institutional conscience-based objections adversely affects both patient safety and access to crucial types of health care.
