Preparing a novel magnesium-doped hyaluronan/polyethyleneimine nanoparticle to improve endothelial functionalisation
Nowadays, tissue engineering vascularisation has become an important means of organ repair and treatment of major traumatic diseases. Vascular endothelial layer regeneration and endothelial functionalisation are prerequisites and important components of tissue engineering vascularisation. The present researches of endothelial functionalisation mainly focus on tissue engineering scaffold preparation and implant surface modification. Few studies have reported the interaction of endothelial functionalisation and scaled materials, especially the nanomaterials. Magnesium (Mg), as an essential cytotropic active element in the human body, should promote the growth of endothelial cells. However, the authors’ previous work found that the Mg in the alloys had a defect of delayed endothelialisation, which may be attributed to the non-uniform scales of the degradation products from Mg alloys. To validate this hypothesis and fabricate a novel nanomaterial for tissue engineering vascularisation, the authors prepared Mg-doped hyaluronan (HA)/polyethyleneimine (PEI) nanoparticles for endothelial cells testing. Their data showed that the Mg-doped HA/PEI nanoparticle with small scales (diameter
In conclusion, AK094629 knockdown attenuated the expression of IL‑1β‑regulated IL‑6 in the SMSCs of the temporomandibular joint by inhibiting MAP3K4. Therefore, AK094629 may be a potential novel therapeutic target for the treatment of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis. PMID: 32468015 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
c‑Abl‑mediated tyrosine phosphorylation of DNA damage response proteins and implications in important cellular functions (Review). Mol Med Rep. 2020 May 18;: Authors: Bohio AA, Wang R, Zeng X, Ba X Abstract Tyrosine phosphorylation is an essential post‑translational protein modification catalyzed by tyrosine kinases. c‑Abl is a crucial non‑receptor tyrosine kinase, which is most commonly activated by auto‑phosphorylation, DNA damage and by interacting with other protein kinases. DNA damage response (DDR) proteins stimulated by DNA lesions or chromatin alterations recruit the DNA repair and ...
Authors: Wood SH, Sills ES Abstract The inverse correlation between maternal age and pregnancy rate represents a major challenge for reproductive endocrinology. The high embryo ploidy error rate in failed in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles reflects genetic misfires accumulated by older oocytes over time. Despite the application of different follicular recruitment protocols during IVF, gonadotropin modifications are generally futile in addressing such damage. Even when additional oocytes are retrieved, quality is frequently poor. Older oocytes with serious cytoplasmic and/or chromosomal errors are often harvested f...

The basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors collectively called E proteins powerfully suppress the differentiation of ILC2s from bone marrow and thymic progenitors while promoting the development of B and T lymphocytes. How E proteins exert the suppression is not well understood....
COLLAGEN supplements are still relatively unknown in the health world. However, when knowing all the benefits these supplements could bring - ranging from weight loss, muscle repair and helping to grow hair and nails - it could be something many may want to look into.

Macrophage-targeted RNAseq revealed that macrophages expressed an array of ligands post nerve injury, and several of these ligands are downregulated in aging.

CONCLUSION: HI promotes the establishment of a substantial number of new neurons in non-neurogenic regions, suggesting intrinsic repair mechanisms of the brain, by controlling the behavior of endogenous NSPCs. The activation of NeuroD1 expression may improve the therapeutic potential of endogenous NSPCs by increasing their neuronal differentiation in HI. PMID: 32469173 [PubMed - in process]
