We report herein a case of bloodstream infection due to LM in a 25-year-old woman with MS treated with alemtuzumab. We searched the UMC/WHO Vigibase system for all reported cases of LM in patients treated with alemtuzumab and found 29 cases overall up to 21 July 2019. ConclusionTo date, no neurophysiological or fluid biomarker is sufficiently validated to support the early diagnosis of SPMS. Neurophysiological measurements, including short interval intracortical inhibition and somatosensory temporal discrimination threshold, and the neurofilament light chain fluid biomarker seem to be the most promising. Cross-sectional studies on an adequate number of patients followed by longitudinal studies are needed to confirm the diagnostic and prognostic value of these biomarkers. A combination of neurophysiological and fluid biomarkers may be more sensitive in detecting SPMS conversion.

Activation of the T cell receptor (TCR) results in binding of the adapter protein Nck (noncatalytic region of tyrosine kinase) to the CD3ϵ subunit of the TCR. Conclusion: Our data indicated that microglia is the major source of miR-146a in the CNS. The absence of miR-146a differentially affected microglia function and proteome, and miR-146a may play an important role in gene regulation of active MS lesions.
