Tumor-to-liver standard uptake ratio using fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography computed tomography effectively predict occult lymph node metastasis of non–small cell lung cancer patients

Conclusions L-SURmax showed the most powerful predictive performance than the other PET parameters in predicting occult lymph node metastasis. The combination of three independent risk factors (carcinoembryonic antigen, cytokeratin 19 fragment, and L-SURmax) can effectively predict occult lymph node metastasis in clinical N0 non–small cell lung cancer patients.

ConclusionsTreatment of patients with relapsed solid tumors with 7.5  mg/d E and 800 mg/d S is safe and feasible. Early metabolic response in FDG‐PET was not confirmed in CT scan several weeks later. The combination of S and E is obviously not sufficient to induce durable responses in patients with KRAS‐mutant solid tumors.

Conclusion: Anti-GABA-B receptor encephalitis mainly occurred in middle-aged and elderly men, and the disease onset was relatively sudden. Before disease onset, some patients experienced fever and non-specific respiratory symptoms, which mainly manifested as frequent epileptic seizures, cognitive dysfunction, and abnormal mental behavior. MRI and PET-CT revealed abnormal signals and local metabolism, respectively, in the temporal lobe. Moreover, the disease has a close relationship with lung cancer, which requires long-term follow-up observation.

CONCLUSIONS: Weekly docetaxel and platinum-based drug doublet combined with TR yielded promising results in stage III NSCLC, with high survival rates. The toxicity of this association is acceptable, with mainly manageable esophagitis. These findings warrant validation in a prospective study before considering this association for standard of care.
