Association Between Inflammatory Biomarkers and Nonspecific Low Back Pain: A Systematic Review

Discussion: Our findings support the notion of a positive association between inflammatory biomarkers and nonspecific LBP, specifically for CRP, TNFs, and IL-6. Although further high quality longitudinal studies are needed to confirm these findings and evaluate the magnitude of these associations, our findings suggest a role of inflammation in the pathogenesis of nonspecific LBP.

DISCUSSION: The results of this study indicate that patients with preexisting psychiatric disorders and/or chronic low back pain suffering from debilitating coccyx pain can obtain pain relief after coccygectomy as seen from a reduction in opioid requirements and pain burden. Discussion: The current study confirmed that individuals preparing a movement attended more toward somatosensory stimuli at the lower back when anticipating back pain during the movement, as measured by the N96 SEP.
