New morgue, radiology suite part of $8M hospital expansion

A Batavia hospital has submitted plans for a $7.8 million expansion, a re-do on a plan first announced two years ago. The United Memorial Medical Center project includes a 5,000-square-foot imaging department addition to house a new MRI, CT scanner, and additional X-Ray room plus a new morgue. It’s the first phase of a three-phase plan at the 131-bed hospital, which was initially submitted to the state Depart ment of Health this week in an $18 million proposal that went on to receive approvals…
