When CPR is immediately performed before ambulance arrival, the chances of survival are three times higher.1 Nevertheless, laypeople are historically afraid they may contract an infectious disease while performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The spread of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) emerged in China at the end of 2019 has become a global public health concern. SARS-CoV-2 is generating panic across the globe due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
